The Chinese women’s volleyball team sent many experienced players in this Macau competition. The lineup was quite different from that of the last Brazil, and the Thai team also sent a full-force lineup.
The Chinese team played a normal start and scored frequently depending on attacks and blocks. The Thai team made more mistakes. The Chinese team kept the lead in most of the games, but the Thai team stepped up the attack and chased the score to 20:21. The Chinese team changed into Zhu Ting and Yao Di. Zhu Ting scored spiking sets in a row. The Chinese team won the first game at 25:21.
At the beginning of the second game, the Thai team’s offensive was fierce, and the short and fast team worked quite well. The Chinese team relied on serve and the offensive score, and the two sides fought from 6 to 9. The Chinese team reduced its mistakes and Gong Xiangyu scored offensive points to help the Chinese team stay ahead and successfully won the second game at 25:17.
In the third game, the Chinese team started to lead by 8:3. Since then, the mistakes of the Thai team have increased, while the Chinese team’s Zhang Changning, Li Yingying and Yan Ni scored frequently, and finally won by 25:9.
In the opening match held in the afternoon of that day, the South Korean team defeated Belgium 3:0.
In 2019, China, Thailand, Belgium and South Korea participated in the World Women Volleyball League matches Macau station. The four teams played round-robin tournament in three days. The Chinese team will play against Belgium on the 29th.
