in the Gymnastics Hall of the State General Administration of Sports of China on the 30th, after training, Xiao Ruoteng and Kōhei Uchimura held their mobile phones on the mat and chatted with translation software. They laughed from time to time and played selfie together.

This scene appeared in the first Sino-Japanese gymnastics practice in history. From January 27 to February 3, the Japanese gymnastics men’s team led by Quan Neng Wang Kōhei Uchimura came to China for training. All the first-line leading player except Bai Jing Jiansan were listed. As a return visit, the Chinese gymnastics team will visit Tokyo on February 11-17 and conduct joint training again.

The Japanese gymnastics team once won the men’s group champion of the Rio Olympic Games. However, in last year’s world championships, the Japanese team made many mistakes, and the quality of the movements was also average. The total score ranked third behind China and Russia. After experiencing the trough of Rio Olympics in Chinese gymnastics mens team, he continued to accumulate experience and improve technology, and won the men’s group Championship in last year’s World Championships in Doha.

The pressure of the Japanese team at home for the Tokyo Olympic Games can be imagined, and Chinese gymnastics mens team naturally wants to fight a “turnaround”. Will there be technical leaks for such joint training?

In the view of Miao Zhongyi, director of the gymnastics management center of the State Sports Administration of China, the Chinese and Japanese gymnastics teams must be rivals in the competition field and must compete for the first place. “But I think we can’t just win or lose. Both teams have a very important responsibility to jointly promote the development of world gymnastics. This kind of joint practice is one of the important ways.”

The scene of chatting and taking photos with Xiao Ruoteng on Kōhei Uchimura was also seen by Miao Zhong. “The field is an opponent, the field is a friend, and the inner village is a rare talented athlete. He has many things worth learning, such as his love and investment in the project and his strict requirements on himself, with the constant pursuit of technology, the younger generation should learn more from predecessors like inner village.”

What did you talk about? Facing the reporter’s question, Xiao Ruoteng said with a smile, “I asked him how many children he had, and he said he had two daughters. Then I asked if he would let his daughter practice gymnastics. He said no, he also asked me something about the Chinese Spring Festival.”

Xiao Ruoteng said bluntly that there are actually not many secrets in technology, because technology can be reflected in the competition. “The most important thing is that everyone communicates with gymnastics. Japanese players are very kind and easy to approach. The joint training of the two teams is definitely good for the development of gymnastics. I am also looking forward to training in Japan, look at their venues and training modes.”

All-round title, the famous Japanese general who has won Kōhei Uchimura of the Olympic Games and world championships for many times, said that all this was “very fresh”. “I have nothing to worry about. Learning from each other and improving each other are the key. Through these days of training, I found that Chinese players are in good condition and have high movement quality, which requires us to learn.”

Kōhei Uchimura also said that I want to take this opportunity to practice in China and go to the Beijing Olympic Games venues and athletes’ villages. In 2008, he participated in the Olympic Games for the first time in Kōhei Uchimura. He won an all-around runner-up in Beijing. For the 2020 Olympic Games to be held at home, Kōhei Uchimura said that he would keep in shape and try his best to participate in the competition.

Miao Zhongyi said that joint practice is to communicate and communicate with each other’s understanding of gymnastics, which is not only the communication at the technical level, but also the mutual understanding of gymnastics culture. “I hope that this form of joint training can be normalized in the future, with a wider range, such as joint training with teams such as Russia and the United States.” (Finished)
