Diversified training methods of women’s basketball reserve forces under the background of sports and education integration

Xinhua News Agency, Xi’an, February 25 (Reporter Yao Youming) on the 25th, the preliminary match of 2019 National basketball high-level reserve talent base U15 women’s basketball was held in Xi’an, which was hosted by Chinese Basketball Association and Chinese middle school student Sports Association. Among the 15 participating teams, the reporter found that there were not only sports school teams, but also middle school teams, and sports schools trained teams based on characteristic schools.

“Diversified team formation forms, which shows that the integration process of sports and education of Chinese women’s basketball has accelerated.” Wang Cen, coach of Xuzhou Sports School, said.

It has been more than 30 years since the school team of Shijiazhuang No. 2 Middle School women’s basketball was established. Team coach Liu Jiangang introduced that the players played basketball while going to school, trained after class every afternoon, and trained all day on Saturday. Although the training load of small players in sports schools is not heavy, the team still has certain strength. It can be called a strong team in the women’s basketball th National Middle School: in April 2016, the team defeated Changsha Yali Middle School, who had scored the top eight in the National Youth Games in 2015, and finally won the 2015-2016 Chinese junior high school basketball league championship.

“Around 2010, we once stayed away from the game of reserve talent base. However, with the continuous advancement of China’s basketball reform, our ordinary players have a stage to compete with professional players in the past two years. It is very helpful for the development and popularization of Chinese women’s basketball that middle school students can participate in such competitions.” Liu Jiangang said.

Different from the basketball concept of Shijiazhuang No. 2 Middle School, Wang Cen believes that to promote the cultivation of basketball talents, the integration of sports and education cannot be too hasty and should be adjusted to local conditions. The way Xuzhou trains women’s basketball team members is to first choose excellent “Miao Zi” to enter the local quality primary school-youth Road Primary School for intensive training. “Small players receive good education from childhood, so they basically have two ways to choose after graduating from primary school. They can stay in school and use basketball as a” stepping stone “to go to school in the future, or be drawn by echelon teams in Jiangsu province, take the professional path.” Wang Cen said.

Compared with sports school students, the “student army” of U15 age group does not fall into the wind. When the reporter published the manuscript, Shijiazhuang No. 2 Middle School defeated Henan Sports School 62:44, Xuzhou sports school (the basketball team hung in the name of youth Road Primary School) defeated Fuxin Basketball School 47:37, and Tsinghua Affiliated Middle School also defeated 89:36 Da Sheng Changchun City spare-time sports school for children.

In 2018, the Chinese Basketball Association continued to exert its efforts in terms of smooth talent channels and integration of sports and education. The Association launched a series of “big dream of small Basketball” events targeting 8-12-year-old teenagers, attracting more than 100000 small players from 30 regions across the country. Yao Ming, chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, once said that in 2019, the Chinese Basketball Association will continue to innovate the youth training system and improve the talent training mode.
