According to Wang Yanxia, vice minister of sports department of Beijing Winter Olympic organizing committee, this is the third time that technical representatives of the International Ice Federation have visited the competition venues and training venues of Beijing Winter Olympic Games, through the two-day conference and one-day venue inspection, the design function partition of the whole venue has been very clear. At present, the venue construction is progressing in an orderly way. Gui Lin, deputy director of the overall division of planning of the Ministry of Planning and construction of the Beijing Winter Olympic organizing committee, said that the construction of the National Stadium and the capital skating center has been fully started and is expected to meet the basic requirements of the test competition in next June. Wukesong Sports Center will not undergo a substantial transformation before the men’s basketball World Cup. It will start the transformation project after the end of the World Cup and is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
