The Men’s Basketball World Cup lottery seed team and each team division are determined according to the world ranking. In addition to the Chinese team, the seed team also includes seven teams that have passed the qualifier and ranked top in the world, namely the United States, Spain, France, Serbia, Argentina, Lithuania and Greece.
The world’s top nine teams in the latest edition of the International Basketball Federation have not changed. The Russian team rose to 10th with two consecutive wins in the last window of the European qualifier, while the Australian team dropped to 11th. The Chinese team currently ranks 30th in the world.
The draw ceremony for the men’s basketball World Cup 2019 will be held in Shenzhen on March 16. This World Cup will be held in eight cities in China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Foshan and Dongguan from August 31 to September 15, 2019. This is also the first time that this event has been held in China.
