Liu Shiwen lost to Japan’s “post-00s”

After withdrawing from the ITO, Guozhen also significantly changed the list of women’s teams, allowing some main players to stay in China to prepare for the World Table Tennis Championships in the end of the month. However, Liu Shiwen and Ma Lin, the coach in charge, jointly decided to stick to the competition, hoping to enhance self-confidence by winning or even winning the championship.
Since entering 2019, Liu Shiwen has participated in the Hungarian Open and the Portuguese challenge. She lost to her teammate Zhu Yuling in the women’s singles semi-final of the last race, however, the “Xin Wen broadcast” combination with Xu Xin won the mixed double championship.
