Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 15 (Reporter Zhang Wei) the reporter learned from the Beijing Major Project Office that the first section of the main steel structure of Shougang ski jumping platform began to be hoisted on lattice girder 14, marking the official start of the track structure installation.
Shougang ski University jumping platform is expected to complete the main construction within this year. The track will have the conditions to hold a test competition by the end of this year and the formal competition will be held in 2021.
According to the relevant person in charge of Beijing Shougang Construction Group, the main body of Shougang ski jumping platform is steel structure, with a total length of about 160 meters, a maximum width of 34.141 meters and a main structure height of 49.11 meters. The first truss beam of this hoisting is large in size, 14 meters long, 9.2 meters wide, 5 meters high and 81.4 tons in weight. The smooth hoisting of this lattice girder laid a foundation for ensuring that the project completed major structure construction and equipment installation and debugging on schedule and met the test conditions.
It is reported that the Shougang ski jumping platform project is located in the north district of Shougang Industrial Park. It uses the original four cooling towers and oxygen plant and other industrial resources of Shougang Group for upgrading and transformation, after completion, it will become the world’s first ski jumping platform stadium permanently reserved and used. Shougang ski University jumping platform will host the ski jumping events of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games, and four gold medals will be produced here. (Finished)
