Asian crown jersey chest advertising banned Melbourne Victory seeking help from Chinese enterprises

The victory of Australian champion Melbourne announced recently that, they have reached an agreement with TCL Group, a long-term partner of Chinese electronics company, to change the advertisement on the chest of the jersey to TCL’s logo in the remaining Asian Championship competition this season.

In the first round of the F Group of the Asian Champions League on March 5th, Melbourne’s victory home court was defeated by Daegu FC at 1:3. A few hours before this game, the chest advertising sponsor (KaishiEntertainment) before Melbourne’s victory was questioned about the online gambling industry and did not conform to the FIFA rules. The club had to change the Jersey urgently, the chest of the team’s jersey became blank during the match.

“The club is worried that the company is related to the online gambling industry, so it violates the rules of the Asian Football Association and the guidelines of the club…… Through further investigation and consideration, Melbourne Victory will not be able to reach a cooperation agreement with the company in Asian champions and other competitions.” Melbourne Victory was announced on the club’s official website on the 8th.

Then, the champion team of the Australian Super League last season announced that they had reached a new cooperation agreement with TCL for advertising on the chest of jerseys, which is applicable to the remaining matches of the Asian Champions League this season.

The club introduced that TCL, as one of the world’s leading electronics manufacturers, has become the main partner of the club, moreover, TCL’s brand logo has already appeared on the club’s competition shorts and polo shirts during media interviews in Australian Super League and Women’s Super League.

Melbourne Victory this season in the Asian Champions League and the Super League team Guangzhou Evergrande, Japan club Sanfrecce Hiroshima and South Korean team Daegu FC points in Group F. After the first round, Daegu FC and Guangzhou Evergrande, who won both sides, led the race temporarily.
