At 19:00, the opening ceremony began in the national anthem. Later, the representatives of the 31 participating teams appeared one after another, and the flag and Sudiman Cup appeared at the opening ceremony. Chinese badminton male single player Shi Yuqi and referee Hou Longhu took the oath on behalf of the athletes and referees respectively.
