CEC China Automobile endurance championship is the first national automobile endurance championship approved by China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation. The competition was unveiled in 2018. This season, CEC has five stops in Ningbo, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shaoxing and Wuhan. Jia Bing, president of Wuhan Weitian Sports Co., Ltd., the organizer, said that CEC will continue to divide two large groups in 2019. The original open Group was renamed as an international group and divided into five groups. In terms of country group, groups 2.0NA and 1.6NA will be renamed as country Group A and country group B.
After summarizing the experience of last season, CEC has also adjusted its competition duration this year. The competition duration of different stations will be 140 minutes or 280 minutes, it is a new test for drivers, tires and fuel consumption. The first Ningbo Railway Station will be divided into the first and second half races. Changes in the number of drivers will bring a variety of combinations, and the competition level and participation will be further improved.
In addition, the CEC of the new season will also create a brand new event-Honda unified specification competition, “the hero is the King. The competition will provide a unified modified racing car on rent-Honda racing car, and the tires will also be provided by the organizers. The competition adopts group driving, and adopts the general rules of field car competition formulated and issued by the International Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation of China. The participating drivers must hold the competition license of Class B and above (equivalent) issued by China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation. The organizer said that he hoped to attract more racing enthusiasts to participate in this event and lay the foundation for training high-level racing driver.
Zhan Guojun, chairman of China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation, said that last year, a single station in Shanghai created a record of 134 drivers participating in the competition, and two large groups started at the same time, the same race between so many drivers and vehicles is unique in domestic competitions. After a year of precipitation, CEC paid more attention to the quality of the event this year and optimized the rules of the event so that drivers with different budgets and levels could compete fairly.

CEC China’s automobile endurance championship, as the country’s highest-level venue championship, has profound cultural connotation of competitive sports and huge commercial value potential.
